Your text goes to Align’s AI providers to write the recap. This tool doesn’t save it. Leave out anything sensitive.

How to use it

  1. 1

    Paste the transcript

From Zoom, Meet, Teams, Otter or plain notes. Or upload a .txt, .vtt or .srt file.

  2. 2

    Add the meeting name

Optional, but it makes the follow-up email read naturally.

  3. 3

    Get the recap

Summary, decisions, action items with owners and dates, and what is still open.

  4. 4

    Copy and send

Copy the recap or the ready-made follow-up email. Check names and dates first.

What it works with

It reads the formats people actually export: Zoom and Teams transcripts, Google Meet transcripts, Otter and other notetaker exports, WebVTT and SRT caption files, and plain “Name: text” notes. If your text has no speakers at all, it still reads it as notes.

  • Zoom: paste the transcript text or the .vtt file
  • Google Meet and Teams: paste the transcript or caption export
  • Otter, Fireflies, Fathom: paste the transcript text
  • Anything else: paste the notes as they are

What you get back

  • A short summary of what came up
  • Decisions, marked as settled only when the group actually agreed
  • Action items with an owner and a due date when one was said
  • Questions that are still open
  • A plain follow-up email you can paste and send

What happens to your text

The text is sent to Align's AI providers to write the notes. This tool doesn't save it, and Align doesn't train models on it. The providers process it under their own terms, and during early access some use a free tier whose terms may let them retain what they process. So don't paste anything regulated or highly sensitive. The security page lists every provider.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get action items from a meeting transcript?

Paste the transcript here. It reads who said they would do what and by when, and lists each as an action item with an owner and due date where the text gives them.

Is it really free with no signup?

Yes. There is a fair-use limit per person per hour so it stays free for everyone. If you hit it, try again later or use the browser extension, which does this for every call.

How long can the transcript be?

Up to about 60,000 characters, roughly a two-hour meeting. For longer ones, paste the part you care about.

Do you store my transcript?

This tool doesn't save it. It's sent to our AI providers to write the notes, and some providers may retain what they process under their own terms during early access. Leave out anything sensitive.

How is this different from an AI notetaker?

A notetaker joins your call as a bot. This works on text you already have. Align's browser extension takes notes from the call itself with no bot joining.
