Align (Align AI, meet-align.com) does the work around the code for product managers, engineering managers and engineers. It turns standups and other meetings into suggested tasks for each person, keeps those tasks in two-way sync with Jira or Linear, moves tickets as branches, pull requests and merges happen in GitHub, and drafts tomorrow's standup and a prep brief for every meeting. It works inside Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Zoom through a browser extension, or in Align Rooms.

No. Keep the tracker you already have. Align syncs both ways: a task you accept in Align shows up in Jira or Linear, and a change made there shows up in Align. Align Plans is there if you'd rather not run a separate tracker, but you don't have to use it.

Not unless you turn that on. By default every suggested task and every status move (branch to In progress, pull request to In review, merge to Done) waits for a one-click approval. If your team trusts it, you can switch on automatic moves, and switch them off again at any time.

Google Meet, Microsoft Teams on the web and the Zoom web client, through the Align extension for Chrome, Brave and Microsoft Edge. No bot joins the call. Only the person who presses Start needs the extension, and Start posts a note in the call chat so everyone knows. It reads captions, never audio or video, and it doesn't run in the Teams or Zoom desktop apps. You can also meet in an Align Room in the browser.

We don't. To be straight about the rest: prompts, transcript text and uploaded images are sent to third-party model providers to run the AI, and during early access some calls go through a provider's free tier, whose terms may let it keep what it processes. The Security page lists every provider. If you work with regulated or very sensitive material, or need SOC 2 or HIPAA, talk to us before you use it.
