Your meetings and tickets, inside Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor

Connect Align to the assistant or coding agent you already use. Ask what was decided and who owns what, with sources. Let Claude Code or Cursor move the ticket when the PR is up, and ask it to write your standup.

Server URL

Paste this into your assistant and sign in with your Align account. You need an Align account with at least one meeting for it to be useful.

Connect your assistant

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode (paid ChatGPT plans).
  2. Back in Apps & Connectors, choose Create.
  3. Name it Align, paste https://api.meet-align.com/mcp as the MCP server URL, and pick OAuth for authentication.
  4. Sign in to Align when asked and choose Allow access. In a chat, pick Align from the tools menu and ask away.

What your assistant can do

ToolWhat it does
ask_alignAnswers a question from your meetings, decisions, docs, chat and tasks, with sources. The same engine as Ask Align in the app.
list_meetingsYour recent meetings: date, people, summary, and how many decisions and action items came out of each.
get_meetingOne meeting in full: summary, decisions and why, action items with owners and due dates, risks, and the transcript if you ask for it.
list_decisionsDecisions across your meetings, filtered by keyword or status.
list_my_tasksYour open tasks and action items, including what's due today.
my_standupToday's standup: what you got done (from your commits, PRs and tickets), what's next and what's blocked.
get_task · update_task · comment_task · create_taskRead a ticket by its key, move it, edit it, comment on it or log a new one. Synced to Jira or Linear when the project is.
  • “What did we decide about pricing last month, and why?”
  • “Write the follow-up email from today's call with Acme.”
  • “What do I owe people from this week's meetings?”
  • “Prep me for my 3pm: what happened last time with these people?”
  • “Write my standup.”
  • “I just opened the PR for ENG-231. Move it to In review and note what changed.”

Privacy and access

  • Tasks only, never deletes. Besides looking things up, your assistant can create a work item, move its status, edit it or add a comment. It can't delete anything, and it can't touch meetings, decisions or docs. Your assistant asks before each change.
  • Your permissions, nothing more. It signs in as you, so it only sees the meetings, docs and workspaces you can see in Align, under your plan's history limit.
  • You approve each app. Every assistant has to be approved by you on Align's own sign-in page before it gets any access.
  • Whatever Align returns is sent to the assistant you connected and handled under that provider's terms, so connect only the assistants you trust with that data.

Frequently asked questions

What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to apps. ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, VS Code and others support it, so one Align connection works in all of them.

Does it cost extra?

No. It's included on every Align plan. Your assistant may need a paid plan of its own to add custom connectors.

Can the assistant change things in Align?

Only your work items. It can create one, move it (say to In review when a PR is up), edit it or comment on it. If the project syncs with Jira or Linear, the change shows up there too. It can't delete anything, and most assistants ask you before each change.

How do I disconnect it?

Remove the Align connector in your assistant's settings. It loses access straight away.

Let tomorrow’s standup write itself

Sign up, connect Jira or Linear (or just use Plans), and hold your standup as usual. The tickets are drafted by the time you hang up, and the next update is ready before anyone asks.
