For engineering teams on Jira or Linear

Your planning meeting ends. The tickets are drafted — you approve them into Jira.

Align listens to the call, drafts each task with an owner, due date and project, and waits for a person to OK it. Approved tickets land in Jira or Linear and move along as the code does. Nothing reaches your tracker without a click.

Example · illustrative, not a customer

“Priya, can you take the retry logic for the payments webhook before Friday? And someone needs to add the rate-limit alert — Dev, that’s yours.”

Drafted in the Plans Inbox a minute after the call:

  • Add retry with backoff to payments webhookPriya · due Fri · Payments (Jira PAY)
  • Alert when the API rate limit is nearDev · due — · Platform (Jira PLAT)

You fix the title, owner or project if they’re wrong, then Add to Plans. It becomes a Jira issue with a link back. Open a branch with its key and Align suggests moving it to In progress.

Drafted from the call, reviewed by a person

Tasks come out of standups and planning calls with an owner and a due date. Keep the ones you want, edit the rest, drop what was just talk. Approval is on by default and stays that way unless you change it.

Then it's just your tracker

Accepted tasks sync both ways with Jira or Linear. A branch moves the ticket to In progress, a PR to In review, a merge to Done — each a one-click suggestion.

Works with

Where the meeting happens
Google Meet or Microsoft Teams (Chrome extension or the Align Notetaker bot), Zoom in the browser (extension), or an Align Room
Where tickets land
Jira Cloud or Linear — two-way, so edits in either place stay in step
What moves them
GitHub — a branch, PR or merge suggests the next status

Pages, Chat and Rooms come with it, but you don’t need them for the pilot.

What a pilot is

  • One team, one Jira or Linear project, your real planning meetings.
  • Team plan features at no cost for the pilot. Its length and what happens after are written down and agreed before you start.
  • Your part: an admin connects Jira or Linear, you install the extension or let the Notetaker join, and someone reviews the drafted tickets after each meeting.
  • Mine (Amit, the founder): setup with you, a check after the first meetings, and fixing what gets in your way.
  • After the pilot: Free stays free for up to 5 people; Team is $12 per person a month billed yearly, or $15 monthly (USD).

Limitations, plainly

  • Drafts can miss a task or pick the wrong owner — that’s why a person approves every one.
  • Jira Cloud only (not Jira Server or Data Center). Zoom works through the extension in the browser, not the desktop app or the Notetaker bot.
  • A task reaches your tracker only when it’s filed in a project linked to Jira or Linear.
  • Align is a young product run by one founder. There’s no SOC 2 report yet.
